Essential storage keeps the site working. You can choose whether to allow analytics storage.
Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| dsf_donation_session | Protects forms against abuse and lets your browser look up the status of a donation you started. It contains a random token; only a hash of it is stored on the server. | 24 hours | Strictly necessary |
Browser storage
We store your analytics choice in dsf-analytics-consent-v1until you change it or clear browser storage. Donation checkout also saves a temporary attempt reference and chosen amount in session storage so it can safely recover after a refresh. It contains no donor name, email address or card details and lasts for the tab's session. When analytics is allowed, a separate temporary marker with the prefix dsf-analytics-donation-v1 prevents repeated completion events in the same tab. It is not needed to make a donation.
Third parties
When you choose to pay, PayPal loads inside the donation step and may set its own cookies as part of its checkout. Those are governed by PayPal's policies.
We use Google Tag Manager (container GTM-K6JH993Z) on the production site. Analytics storage is denied until you allow it. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization remain denied. The container can still load and consent-aware Google tags may send limited signals without analytics cookies. With JavaScript disabled, the supplied Tag Manager iframe fallback may load. Tags configured in the container are managed by the organization.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The donation checkout requires the session cookie above, so blocking it may prevent a donation from completing. Nothing else on the site requires analytics cookies. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your analytics choice. Changing to Essential only stops future consent-based analytics storage; you can remove existing cookies in your browser settings.
