Dream School Foundation initiative

A movement of handmade work, dignity, and shared ascent.

Aarohi, meaning the one who ascends, is a livelihood initiative where creative skill becomes visible work, and women shape objects that carry both craft and purpose.

Women-led

A livelihood initiative shaped through mentorship and patient making.

Handmade

Each object keeps the visible touch of stitching, painting, and care.

Collective

The collection works as an archive of labor, not a transactional catalog.

Movement

Why Aarohi Exists

Aarohi was built to create room for creative work to be seen as serious work. It offers a platform where women can strengthen artistic skill, shape identity through making, and participate in livelihood with dignity.

The collection is not the story by itself. It is evidence of patient craft, mentorship, and a collective process that allows talent to become visible and sustainable.

Each piece carries the touch of practice, patience, and the confidence that comes from being supported to create.

Making Practice

Craft and Collective

The initiative combines stitching, hand painting, upcycling, and practical design so the work remains useful, expressive, and rooted in human touch.

01

Handmade processes anchored in stitching, surface design, and upcycled material thinking.

02

A collaborative environment shaped by mentors, artisan learning, and repeat practice.

03

Objects designed to carry story, care, and visible human touch rather than anonymous production.

The hand embroidery and painting done by the artisan in Aarohi is very elegant. I love the vibrant colour and Rangoli designs used in making the Prosperity Purses. I gifted several of them to family and friends during our festival, in place of the usual store-bought gifts. They found it unique and it was a great hit! The sturdy canvas bag with the extensive Warli art is an essential when I step out, especially during these times when there are so many things to carry.

“

I love how each product is made with so much care and good quality. Every piece has its own unique style and I love using my pouch because it brings back great memories.
